Spencer - GA

Meet Spencer!

Spencer is a super sweet GSP mix,
2-3 years old, who loves to run and play. He loves soft toys, playing fetch, and can also entertain himself for hours. We have taken Spencer to the dog park where he loves to play with other dogs, big and small. Spencer uses his mouth a lot when he plays and gets excited so we would not suggest a family with young children for him. We do not know how he is with cats.

Spencer was rescued from an abusive home and has been fostered by us for the past couple of months. Spencer's had a rough go of it lately. From what we gather, he used to live at home with his family but after they moved to a rental property they left him alone in a fenced area that wasn’t covered and we don't know how often they checked on him. He was eventually picked up by AC. We believe he was abused and he does seem scared of storms.

We have been working with him and trying to train him as best as we can. As much as we would love to keep him, we simply can't add to our pack right now and we are not home enough to give him the attention he needs and deserves.

Spencer would do best with a fenced yard and an active family. He has a lot of energy and is always on the move. He is happiest outside, he absolutely loves playing with toys and doing zoomies. He is house-trained but we haven't had any success with the limited crate-training we have tried.

Spencer is in good health, up to date on his shots, and heartworm negative. He has not been neutered.

He is such a silly dog and just so happy all the time. His entire body wiggles when we come home. Spencer is a really great dog and will make an amazing companion when he finds the right home that is willing to give him the training and attention he deserves.
