Sugar - NC

8/17/2023

Picture
Sugar needs rehoming and currently located in Charlotte, NC. Sugar is a 4 y/o solid liver AKC registered GSP. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and the BEST part she gets along with CATS.

Sugar is wonderful with small and large children as well as male and female adults. Small children often cuddle with her when she is sleeping. Sugar plays with large dogs in other family members' homes with no problem.

Don't know how she is with small dogs, but she is fine with little cats. She doesn’t not guard toys or food and has never jumped over 4-foot fence, but if the gate is left open, she will run. She will need work on recall and leash training. She will need a fenced back yard, so she does her favorite thing which is run in the backyard, run after balls, chew on a nylabone, and snuggle with children and people. She was crate trained as a puppy. Has not been in crate recently. She is housebroken. Can go 10 hours at night without accidents.

She knows sit and stay for treats and when ordered waiting at door to go out. Does jump and cry at door to come back in which we are working on stopping with vibration collar which seems to be working.

There are no health or skin problems. She is microchipped. No allergies known.
She was heartworm neg in Nov 2022 and has been on Simparica.

Her perfect home is where she has a fenced yard, loves to be outside to run. Best scenario would be someone home most of day or once a day be able to let her out to exercise. She loves attention and children would be a plus. Vet check and rehoming fee will apply. Please email Susan at sdec@twc.com if interested in adopting Sugar.
