Hi there! I’m Jax — a three-year-old, 70-pound sweetheart who’s been told I look a little like Eeyore… but in the cutest way possible. I’m a low-energy guy who enjoys the occasional silly burst of play, then I’m perfectly content to lounge, nap, or follow you around like your oversized shadow. Trotting around the backyard is kind of my specialty.I do well with other dogs, though I appreciate having my own personal space. Cats are okay once I’ve had time to adjust, but I’ll be honest — I’m not the best match for homes with small animals like guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, or anything tiny and fast. They’re just a little too interesting for me.
I’m fully house-trained and do great being left loose in the home. Crates aren’t really my thing (I try to break out!), but if the counters stay clear, I’m a perfect gentleman. So my new home will have to understand that I’m not a crate guy!  I know “sit” and “down,” and I’m continuing to learn new skills.
I’m neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and I’m ready to find a home that appreciates my calm, goofy, loyal vibe. I’m still figuring out how I feel about kids so only ones that are 6 years and older, but I can promise I’m full of love for the people I bond with.
