SEGSP Rescue Dogs Ready for Adoption
Greetings! I’m Spot, otherwise known as Amos to my foster Mom. She thinks I am just like her first rescue GSP – Amos Moses - and has bestowed his moniker on me too! I think she has fallen in love with me, but her two other GSPs take up a lot of her time and patience, so she's going to help me look for my perfect forever home! And I'm so excited!
I just turned 4 months old and am a very typical GSP puppy – everything goes in my mouth – everything. I don’t understand why my foster mom got so upset about those carved wooden fish. It is still a mystery to me – hoomans! I can also be a barker – but only when my foster siblings have something I want. I love to run and play and chew on bully sticks (only in a safe bully-stick holder though). I am very active and will need room to run. I hope my new family has a big backyard with a fence! A doggie brother or sister would also be great as I love to play and learn! Once I run out of energy, I am a snuggle bunny. I love to snuggle up to my foster mom or my foster brother Boone and take a nap. My foster mom started me out in the crate at night, she was very adamant that was where I’d sleep. I actually did really well there, but my sad face wore her down. I sleep with the other dogs (and her) now but would probably get used to the crate again if I had to. I do go in the crate when mom goes out for errands. (see above where it states everything goes in my mouth). Other things you should probably know about me if you are thinking of making me a part of your family (in no particular order): I LOVE BIRDS. When I say I love birds, I love them to death… literally (not sure why the foster mom gets so upset about that either – I’m a bird dog after all). :-) I love going for walks. Mom is using a harness but she wonders if that will work out long term. I’m getting big and strong, and like to go where I want, when I want. Especially if there is a bird there. I love other dogs so far. I went to the dog park with mom and my two foster siblings and we had a blast. I was very curious and enjoyed meeting new friends. I also love hoomans – big or small. Mom told me she hopes that my new family will include a boy or girl that I can love and be their best friend. I met a boy at the dog park and really liked him! I am pretty good in the car. I like riding, I just want to be on my foster mom’s lap! My foster mom calls me a counter surfer. Not exactly sure what that means but I know it has to do with food. Oh, by the way! I LOVE FOOD. I can barely contain myself when it is time to eat! It can’t happen fast enough. Mom has to barricade herself in the pantry to fill up the food bowls so I won’t try and get at them and make the food go flying! YUM. Right now I am eating Purina Pro Plan Development for Puppies. It must be good stuff as I have gained 8 pounds in less than a month. Did I mention my foster mom predicts I am going to be a BIG boy? I am already almost as tall as my 2 year old foster sister and have bigger feet. One thing I don’t want to mention, but I was told I probably should, is I still make some mistakes in the house – but I am learning and trying hard to be good. Along that same line, my foster mom also calls me a ‘street pooper’. I don’t like to poop on the grass. I’ll poop on the sidewalk, on the patio and in the road, but grass is not my thing. Foster mom isn’t sure why that is but she hopes I will outgrow it. Anyway, thanks for reading my Bio. If you are active and can give me lots of exercise, have a large yard, have no kids under six and are up for all of the joy and challenges that a puppy brings to the table, I'm your fella! I hope I hear from you! Love, Spot/Amos P.S. I'm up to date on vaccines, healthy and microchipped. The adoption fee for puppies under a year is $800. My adoptive family will have me neutered at the appropriate time and they will receive a $200 refund from SEGSP at that time. If you think you'd be the right home for me, please email my foster mom at spotatsegsp@outlook.com and let them know why you'd be an amazing family for me. And be sure to complete an adoption application or let them know if you already have one on file, if you'd previously completed one. I can't wait to learn more about you, too! Comments are closed.
