In Memory of
our beloved GSPs
2010
Sometimes we learn about the passing of an alumni from long ago, and we are saddened, but grateful, that we can post a memorial to share their story. In the early to mid-1990s SEGSP was just getting started. Our fearless leader, Beth Cochran, coordinated a handful of volunteers and it was a mission of her heart. Beth fostered Jasper in 1996 and found a wonderful home for him with the Vonah family.
We recently heard from them that Jasper lived a very full life until he was 15 years old! Jasper’s dad said, “We think of him every day! We had 2 other GSPs that we rescued since his passing! We lost our last one last year Lola! We hope to rescue again down the road! Thank you for all you do!” We know Jasper was loved every single day and will be remembered until he is joined by his family at the Rainbow Bridge. “We need to go first because we cannot live without your love and care. If we lived longer than you, we would not and could not survive. It’s supposed to be this way. We also need to cross the Rainbow Bridge before you do so that we can be on the other side to greet you when you get there. We wait at home for you here and we wait at home for you there. It’s just the way it is.” Unknown |
