about - segsp rescue

100% Powered by Volunteers
We are a grassroots rescue organization rehoming GSPs and promoting animal welfare in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and helping with southern Kentucky.

Picture
We are incredibly proud of what we accomplished in 2025.  But the truth is, there were even more GSPs in need last year that we simply couldn’t help because we didn’t have enough foster homes.  While some were able to find help through our Courtesy Listings, too many dogs still had to be turned away.

Looking ahead in 2026, the single biggest way you can help us save more GSPs is by becoming a foster volunteer. Please consider helping SEGSP Rescue continue our mission. Getting started is easy:

*  Visit https://www.segsprescue.org/volunteer.html
*  Complete a foster application
*  We’ll guide you through the rest… home visit, support, vet care (all pre-approved expenses), and ongoing guidance every step of the way.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who made our 2025 successes possible - our volunteers, donors, coordinators, and all those working behind the scenes (you know who you are). You truly make this rescue work.

Here’s to a Happy New Year and a hopeful 2026!  Together, we can save even more lives.
