Coco (FL) has big news from her foster family, “Coco has been giving light to our house and making Neron and Arena play like we haven’t seen in a while. She is crazy because she is a GSP, but she still behaves very well and makes us smile each morning. For this reason, we are fostering failing with her, and we want to adopt her to become part of our family.”

Such good news!  Congratulations to Juan Pablo, Ana, Neron, Arena and of course Coco!

Diesel

After carefully considering all of the amazing families that were interested, Diesel has chosen his perfect forever family.

From his foster mom, Diesel seemed very happy walking to the car with his new mom and dad.  When he got home, he was a little apprehensive of the cat, but by bedtime, they were on the same pillow.  He also went to a baseball game and met the grandkids.  He did great at the game.”
Sounds like he had a great 1st day!

She added, “This family stood out to me because the mom is retiring and the dad works from home.  They had 21 acres and a creek in the backyard.  And Diesel loves a good creek!  He was the perfect dog and I tried to find a flaw, but couldn’t!”

When asked about why they decided to apply for Diesel, his new mom said, “The one thing that really caught our eye when reading Diesel’s story was the word “chill!” He is such a chill dog and his speed really matches ours! He loves a good roll in the grass, nap on the couch, and has started to love his feline brother. He is such a sweet dog and we feel like we won the GSP lottery! We can’t thank y’all enough for the opportunity to let him join our family.”

We are so happy that Diesel is home, and we are grateful to his parents, the Tenpenny family for considering adoption and to his foster parents, Andy and Sharon, for loving him and preparing him so well for his forever home.

Senior pup, Joe, a 2021 rescue, battled hookworms & dental disease BUT that didn’t stop him. He is healthy now & was just adopted!!

Joe has settled in so nicely with his mom Allison and his K9 sibling Pepper.   He has really come out of his shell recently and started expressing his voice.   He’s a BIG fan of his momma Allison’s cooking too.  Seniors thrive through adoption!

Congrats Joe!

Henry, FL, was adopted recently and has settled in nicely to his new home.

From his forever family Norm & Sylvia, “Henry is pretty much everything we have ever wanted in a GSP. He is so smart, loving, playful and stubborn all at the same time.

He had a play date this afternoon with Sammy, but not before he went for a 730am swim here at the house!

All he wants is to love someone and be loved back. He is an awesome young boy. He loves the pool and loves loves loves the vacuum cleaner. (Check out the video. A bit fuzzy, but hilarious!)”

Thank you Norm and Sylvia for giving Henry the home he deserves.

Happy news… Langston, in AL, has chosen his new forever home and has settled in quickly.  From his new dad David, “He is as happy as can be…  We could not have made a better choice for a walking companion pet, or laid-back dog than Langston.”  Thank you so much to Langston’s foster dad Charlie, who knew exactly what type of home this boy needed (and found).  And thank you to Langston's adoption coordinator Marty, who went through many applications and narrowed down the list for Charlie.  Choosing a forever home can be challenging, especially for such a handsome, sweet boy as Langston – thank you both for all the work you did to make sure he found the best home for his needs.  Congrats everyone!

We got great news that Liesel has been adopted!

From her foster mom Liz, “As of last Friday, Liesel is officially adopted! We’re super happy that she’s been adopted by my parents so we’ll still get to see her.

Now she spends her days going to work in the woods with her dad Jim, who is a forester, or working from home with her mom, Lan, and new little, big brother, Henry. She has become a master lizard hunter, and we are a little worried she is going to disrupt the ecosystem with the number of lizards that she’s caught lol

To celebrate her adoption she shared a peanut butter banana cake with Henry and foster brother turned nephew Finn. She was fascinated by the cake lol”

Looks super yummy! Congrats to all.

Beulah has stolen her foster family’s hearts!  Sometimes you just know right away and this was one of those times.  The Oseas family has officially made Beulah, now Ruby, a part of their home!

From her mom Catherine, “Yeah. It was pretty fast. She has certainly come out of her initial shell. She loves walks, she likes to kill bees, and absolutely loves to snuggle.”

Congrats everyone!

After several months in rescue and now healthy after those yucky heartworms, Ruff has found his forever home with the Coffies.

From his dad, “Ruff is all settled in at his new home. He was welcomed by his GSP sister, Maggie.  Maggie has Addison’s Disease, and I was looking for her a big brother to be there when we can’t. When I first saw Ruff, I knew this is the perfect big brother. I would like to thank Joe and Sarah for bringing Ruff to his new home and I would like to thank everyone at SEGSP Rescue for all their work and
Dedicated time.”

Ruff has had an army of champions during his time in rescue—to Sarah, the Connors, the Colbys, and the Kesslers, we say thank you for loving Ruff and helping prepare him for this day.
