River (TN) has an announcement.  After four months of hanging out with his foster mom, who was the best nurse after his emergency surgery and who helped him through his tough heartworm treatment, he has decided that he doesn’t need to look for his forever home after-all...  he has already found it!

We don’t blame you, River!  Andrea has been a wonderful foster mom to you and we are so excited that you’ve chosen her to be your forever mom!  We know you have many hikes and explorations in your future and we can’t wait to receive updates!  Congratulations!

Tugg aka Tucker

Tugg has happy news… Tugg’s foster family is now his forever family!  Tugg, now called Tucker, was the boy found wandering still attached to a 15 lb chain in NC.  He’s come a very long way thanks to his first foster family, the Georgesons, and of course his current family with Kathy and Bob.  Tucker has blossomed into a confident, happy, well-adjusted boy with a wonderful future where he will always be a loved family member – he certainly deserves it.  We look forward to following Tucker’s journey.

Easton aka Winston

Our senior boy Easton, in NC, had his vet appt Friday and he’s now microchipped, heartworm negative and neutered. His foster mom Frances said he is doing great!  But the best news of all?  Easton, is now Winston, and staying right where he is! Yup, his foster family said he has done so well at their house - he has even made friends with Momo the bossy cat, that they decided he belongs there.  We couldn’t be happier!  Congrats to the Houck family and Winston!

Hawk (aka Frick)

Hawk (aka Frick) has found his home!  Hawk came to rescue as a stray with his brother Frack (now Frankie) but he’ll never be stray again – he’s home FOREVER with his dad Matt.  Thank you to his foster parents Kate and Brett for preparing Hawk for this moment.  (On top of all they’ve already done, they super exercised him on the farm before his transport!!) He’s a young boy so it can be rather difficult.  He also had a LOT of awesome families interested in adopting him so it was challenging to go through the applications and find the right home for his specific needs.  Kate and Brett went above and beyond for this boy and we couldn’t be more appreciative!  Congratulations to Hawk, who will have his dad all to himself with lots of time together, a fun backyard to run and will no doubt be having some great adventures with his dad.  It’s a happy day!

Gretta, in FL, has made her decision – she has found her forever home RIGHT WHERE SHE IS.  She loves her training, cushy couch, comfy dog bed, tasty dog treats, soft toys and of course all the love she’s getting – why would she want to leave?  Congratulations to Gretta and her parents Shirley and Art!  It’s a happy, happy day!
