Belle

3/25/2019

Adopted March 2019

Belle's adoption was official yesterday.  She was adopted by Eleanor Williams & Robert MacPherson from Spartanburg, SC.  Belle's foster Mom, Jennifer, said she had a big and fabulous first day with her new family.  A day of hiking was planned for Belle at Tallulah Gorge.

Jennifer got an update from Eleanor later and she said "Belle loved it. She was pointing the whole time! We've been at our house for a few hours now and she finally crashed. She has been slowly coming out of her shell and started playing with our hair before she fell asleep."

Congratulations to Belle and her new family and thank you Jennifer for fostering Belle.

Adopted March 2019

A happy day in Georgia :)

From Willow's foster Mom, Camylla - "We just dropped off Willow! What a beautiful home they have and a beautiful family!

David and Elaine will make the perfect parents for this sweet girl. She has
a big back yard with lots of birds to chase! We will miss her, but couldn’t
be happier for her."

Lady has found her forever home! Lady has had a rough few years of her life and is still very timid with men, but warmed up quickly with her forever Dad and loves her Mom Lesley Ann. From her awesome foster Mom Kerry: Goodbye Lady Love ❤️ She is on her way to GA with her new family, Russ and Lesley Ann. Congratulations to the Bundy family and Lady – it’s a happy day!

Turk

3/18/2019

Adopted March 2019

Turk, fostered our of South Carolina, has found his forever home. According to his foster mom, Shelby Jean, “ The minute they met, I knew. Turk knew too. It’s bittersweet.”

See pictures of Turk meeting his new dad below. We are so happy for all of you. And
thank you Shelby Jean for fostering.

Oscar

3/15/2019

ADOPTED MARCH 2019

Thanks to many caring volunteers, Oscar, our sweet senior in TN, has made it to his forever home with the Lunstrum family in South Carolina!

Thank you Tausha and Todd for fostering Oscar and driving a very long first leg of the transport. And thanks to everyone else who helped transport him: Penny & Justin, Angie and Deanna – you are just wonderful! We’re looking forward to the happy update photos of Oscar!

Dolly

3/15/2019

ADOPTED MARCH 2019

Dolly, formerly Blossom (one of Alumna Lily’s 9 pups) has found her forever home!

After 1,532 miles driving by her owner from Florida to Tennessee to pick her up, she has finally arrived. Her Dad Tom says Dolly did amazing and was such a sweet girl and never had a single issue the entire trip.

Dolly and her sister (2009 Alumna Libby) are getting along perfect. We are so very excited for Dolly and the Redmond family!

Mickey

3/15/2019

ADOPTED MARCH 2019

Mickey has found his forever home! His new Dad drove all the way from Florida to Tennessee to meet him. His new brother Sig approved so they all headed back south. Another happy ending!

Thank you to his foster parents Michael and Amy and to Family Pet Health in Murphreesboro, TN for taking such good care of Mickey after being run over by a tractor (and convincing the owner to surrender vs euthanize).

It’s always exciting to see the transformation from broken-to-healthy, happy GSP. Congratulations to the Jameson family (and Mickey)!

Jack

3/15/2019

ADOPTED MARCH 2019

More happy news… Jack in AL has found his forever home (not to be confused with Jack who just joined rescue in NC).

A huge thank you to his foster Dad Rickey who worked diligently with Jack to prepare him for this day.

Congratulations to The McCrabb Family and of course Jack.

Harvey

3/15/2019

ADOPTED MARCH 2019

Harvey (now Hank) has found his forever home!!!

He was one of the 6 dogs from NC that were taken to a shelter because they couldn’t hunt. Our awesome volunteer Stephanie fostered, loved and helped Hank realize it didn’t matter that he wasn’t a hunter and he did not need to be afraid. He is still timid with new things, but we’re sure will blossom with the Herndon family.

Congratulations everyone!

BENTLEY (ELVIS)

3/15/2019

ADOPTED MARCH 2019

Congratulations Hodge family!

The Hodge family says:  "Bentley is settling in well in his new home. We are really loving this guy. Thank you Marty for allowing us to be his forever home" And as an added bonus, he already knows the sound of the treat jar opening!"

Harnett

3/15/2019

ADOPTED MARCH 2019

It’s a happy day! Harnett has found his home! This sweet boy was one of the 6 NC pups that was taken to a shelter because he wasn’t a hunter. Thank you Julie for fostering him, loving him and making sure he went to the home that was best for his temperament. From his new Mom: “Harnett is the sweetest dog ever! His shyness is starting to wear off and he is giving us kisses now. ”

Congratulations to the Hammond family – we hope Harnett will help fill the void since your sweet Cocoa passed away. We’ve been promised a family photo is coming shortly…

Poppy (AKA Popcorn)

3/6/2019

Adopted March 2019

Poppy (aka Popcorn) is adopted!

Turns out her foster Mom Renee just couldn’t part with her and we couldn’t be happier for both of them.  This is Renee’s first foster “fail” after fostering for SEGSP 3 times …3rd time's the charm 😊.

Congratulations Renee and Poppy!
