Coco

Coco has found his forever home (liver)!

This beautiful young boy was surrendered to a KY shelter because he did not hunt. His new GSP sister Giselle isn’t quite sure what to make of this energetic boy, but Coco is trying.

Thank you so much to his foster family, the Campbells, for preparing Coco for his forever home. And this day could not have happened without the help of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue who pulled Coco and temp fostered him.

Congratulations to Coco and the Owen family! It’s a happy day!

Mary Kay

Mary Kay has found her forever home – right where she is with her foster family!

She was surrendered to a shelter at 8 years old when her owner was ill and couldn’t care for her. Thank you to our volunteer Jordan for temp fostering her and thank you, plus congratulations to the Flugman family for fostering and now adopting Mary Kay.

From her Mom Susan: “Mary Kay is a velcro dog and very attached to me and my son Travis. She waits with Travis for his ride every morning and cheerfully greets him when he comes home. Mary Kay has a canine sister, Joey (who was a foster failure 10 years ago), and they get along well and enjoy hanging out together. Mary Kay loves sitting in the screened-in porch waiting for wildlife to appear - sometimes she sits still like a statue for a laughable amount of time - and enjoys running around the yard hunting for squirrels and chipmunks. Having two dogs is proving to be a positive experience and I am glad I am able to give these girls a comfortable, loving home.”

YAY a very happy ending to the week!

Brittany

11/8/2019

Brittany has found her forever home with Lara and Ivan and Athena! Brittany came to rescue with her 6 puppies and her foster family, who adores her, found a wonderful family that will love her as much as they do. Congratulations to the Diaz family (and Brittany) and thank you to Sandra and Bridgette for helping sweet Brittany on her path in life.

Gunner

11/4/2019

Gunner, in FL, has found his forever home...right where he is with his foster family! This sweet, gentle boy was picked up as a stray in FL in June with another dog and when his family came, they took the other dog and left Gunner. He also came to rescue with heartworms.

There are so many people to thank for Gunner's success in rescue – Mary McCaa for giving him his freedom ride and temp fostering, Glenda for fostering through his heartworm treatment (and her cats for somewhat tolerating Gunner), Cheryl, Mark, Michelle and Todd who for transporting him on a holiday weekend (Michelle and Todd drove 7.5 hrs each way – amazing), and Kyle and Carrie for fostering him until they fell in love and couldn't part.

From his new Mom:  "I think we knew right away that Gunner had found his forever home with us, but since we have finally made it official, here are some pictures of this sweet boy. Gunner has been the addition to our family we didn't even know we needed. He loves cuddles, couch naps, bike rides, his people and his new sisters! Big thank you to you and all the people who work to rescue these sweet animals and help them find their people."

Congratulations Gunner and the Mosley family!

Spencer has found his forever home!  Thank you to his foster parents Kathy and JLaw as well as Casie and Savannah for helping with the drive to his new home in NC. And thank you also to his temp foster homes with Julie, Namrita, Mary and Susan.  It sometimes does take a village...THANK YOU everyone and CONGRATS Holmes and Joe!
