Johnny is a handsome 8-year-old gentleman who didn’t have the best start in life. He was one of two dogs tragically thrown from a bridge, but thanks to a Good Samaritan, Johnny was rescued and given a second chance.
Despite his past, Johnny is a truly wonderful companion. He does great with other dogs and adores his 6-year-old GSP foster brother. He’s an excellent house guest who’s perfectly content snoozing on his bed for much of the day. While he may bark when crated at home, he otherwise settles in nicely—and he rides perfectly in a crate in the car. Johnny can be a bit of a Houdini and likes to test fences, so a very secure yard and close supervision are important for his safety. His high-energy GSP puppy days are behind him, and he now enjoys the simpler things in life: showing off his toys, leisurely walks, belly scratches, and car rides. Change can take Johnny a little time, and loud noises can make him uneasy, so he does best with reassurance and a calm environment. He’s looking for a patient, understanding person who can offer structure, stability, and the time he needs to build trust. In return, Johnny will reward you with deep loyalty, a gentle presence, and plenty of love. Johnny is healthy, neutered and temperament evaluated, so his adoption fee is $375. If you’re interested in adopting Johnny, please complete an Adoption Application (if you haven’t already) then email his foster mom MaryAsa at [email protected] |
