Molly is adopted! And her foster mom Vicki is overjoyed.

She said, “Oh Molly, Molly, Molly! You my girl should be in the dictionary right next to the word Velcro because you are the absolute definition of a Velcro dog. You crave all the human attention, and you deserve that attention so it was my job to find you the perfect home where you would get exactly what you needed. Thanks to an amazing group I belong to I met your dad, and he started following your journey and reached out to me about you. They kept up with all your post and all your stories and the minute you went up for adoption they pounced on the opportunity to be your furever family. Not only are they very qualified to deal with any behavioral issues you might have as you settle in, but they are no strangers to the rescue world as they have SEGSP Alum Colt who has now become your Cool New Brother (with his Rex Specs on). You are one lucky girl Molly as your new family already loved you more than anything and the fact that you immediately approached them with zero anxiety for hugs and love tells me it was love at first sight for you as well. I was so amazed that you completely forgot your fear of men as you nuzzled your new dad welcoming his love and even kissed him at the first greeting. This shows me that they are absolutely the perfect home for you and as all of you drove away, a calm washed over me that I’ve never felt before. No tears were shed, I wasn’t heartbroken, and I wasn’t even sad because every inch of my soul felt the love that formed the moment all of you met. I also want to thank you Molly, because of you I also now have two new people I get to call my friends because I also fell in love with your new family and can’t wait to now follow your new journey.

Congratulations Geoff, Luanna and Colt on your new family member and thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving this breed as much as I do and for doing everything you have to make this transition so perfect for Molly. You sent her clothes that smelled like you prior to your meeting which I think was an absolute game changer, you brought her snacks, made sure you had time to spend with her before the long journey home and you showed all the calmness and understanding she deserved during your meet and greet. Best wishes to all four of you and I look forward to watching you all grow as a family. This is definitely not goodbye as you are now stuck with me for life, I will be here for anything you need. Your loving foster mom, Vicki”
