After pouring through so many wonderful applicants, Jasmine has chosen the perfect home for her and is pictured here with her new mom, Krystin.

We can’t say enough about Jasmine’s foster mom, Gigi.  She took in this very scared girl and nurtured and loved her and helped her gain confidence.  And while it was a super tough decision to select a family, here’s what she said about her choice:

“I had the great fortune of fostering Jasmine for almost three months. This little girl had my heart the minute I picked her up in Knoxville. She was scared, shivering, and terrified of riding in the car. She didn’t move a muscle for the whole trip back to my house. Once in the house, however, she was happy to see my 2 GSPs and bonded with them quite quickly. She had such a quiet and gentle demeanor, but also a longing to interact and be a dog. She went from hiding in my office or my bedroom for most of the day to going in and out of the house freely, instigating play with my dogs, and eating dinner and breakfast without being afraid. The process of finding an adopter was hard for me. I have been on the other side of this and know how devastating it is to want a dog and then not be chosen.  There were a lot of adopters that fit the bill for Jasmine, but I was looking for a very particular situation, I found it in Krystin and her family. I was scared about the exchange and leaving her. We had bonded so much over the last three months. However, I was so happy to see that the transition to being Krystin’s dog happened very naturally. I’m thankful to Krystin and her family for loving Jasmine and allowing me to be Aunt Gigi.”

Wow!   What a great success story.  We asked Jasmine’s new mom what made her apply to be considered to adopt Jasmine and she said, “From the moment I saw Jasmine’s picture on Facebook I knew that she would be the perfect addition to my life. Her story pulled at my heart strings to the point of tears, and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to apply to give a second chance to such a sweet baby. Jasmine is such a special and smart girl. She has the most calm and gentle energy, and she is already starting to come out of her shell! So far, her favorite activities include playing with her four-legged brothers Brew and River, going to the dog park to run, finding all the toys with squeakers in them, and snuggling with mom. She has also begun her training sessions and is coming along quite nicely with learning her first command, ‘sit.’ I am so thankful for SEGSP, Jasmine’s foster mom and everyone who played a part in Jasmine and I finding each other. I cannot wait to watch her continue to grow and thrive in her forever home!”

Neither can we, Krystin!   Thanks so much to everyone who has been a part of Jasmine’s Happy Ever After!
