Chapo - NC

Hi, my name is Chapo but I’ll answer to Chap, Chappy or wild man which is my Foster Mom’s favorite name for me. I am a 2 1/2-year-old GSP, house trained, crate trained, leash trained and I’m a work in progress on my off-leash manners, but my foster mom says I’m a very smart boy that is very easy to train. 

I love playing fetch, chase, and my all-time favorite is keep away. I play this game with my foster mom where she throws one of the toys and I grab it and run in the doggie door like I’m ready to come back inside and as soon as she walks through the opposite door, I run back out the doggie door. I think this is how I got the name wild man! I do not jump on her, climb fences or dig and I don’t chew my prized stuffies or my comfy kennel bed. She says I’m the best boy in the whole wide world, but I must say I have a way with the ladies and can wrap them around my paw. I have put in a lot of work here at my foster home getting socialized, so I’m no longer leash reactive, but I’ll need my new family to promise to continue to be strict with my leave it training because I don’t want to go back to the dog I was. I love getting out and going places and my foster mom makes sure she is on top of my nonsense so that we all can enjoy our time together. My new family must be experienced with an e-collar and know how to use it properly. I’m a very polite eater with zero aggression over my toys or food but it takes me a long time to warm up to new dogs especially males so my foster mom says she wants me to go to an ONLY dog home so I can be happy because she likes to brag about me and what a great boy I am. I almost forgot, I would really love it if my new home had lots and lots of toys, I just love all toys and I like to take them in my kennel and nap with them. See, how can you resist that level of cuteness right there people, me sound asleep with my head on one of my stuffies!! I can hear all the awww’s from here!
