UPDATE 11/9/2020: The owner has been found!
Microchipping works! The GSP found in AL earlier this week was turned over to SEGSP and when we scanned for a chip, we found one. It wasn’t registered to his owner, however the microchip company was able to contact the person who originally purchased and inserted the chip (his breeder) and found his owner. Apparently, during a home burglary, he was stolen and they have been distraught. A huge thank you to the local rescue who captured Wesson, as well as our volunteer Kelsey for temp fostering him. And of course, thank you to our foster volunteers Carol and Marty who took him to be scanned and gave him some TLC. We’re happy to announce that Wesson is now safely with his family… Do you recognize this dog? If so please private message Southeast GSP Rescue - proof of ownership required. This GSP was found roaming the Huntsville, AL area for a couple weeks before being caught. He is extremely thin so has probably been on his own for awhile and may have travelled a long way. Thank you for sharing... Comments are closed.
