"Our animal friends teach us more than we could have expected and love us more than we could have hoped.  That's why we miss them more than we could have imagined."

Schatzi
2007 - 2019

SEGSP received very sad news today. Our 2015 Alumna Schatzi has passed away. We received a tearful call from her Mom Catie yesterday saying that Schatzi was in the end stages of renal failure. Schatzi was 14 years young, and they loved her for 3 1/2 short years. The entire family is just devastated.

We know without doubt that Schatzi was deeply loved. We received countless pictures of Schatzi over the years from her family. There was a sweet photo of Schatzi taking naps with their baby who was 1 at the time of adoption, then as she grew up, we would receive pictures of her checking Schatzi's vitals and sleeping in a princess tent. The last picture we received was of her hugging Schatzi on her first day of kindergarden... just precious. Catie often called Schatzi her "dog shadow". She really was a special girl and we will all miss her.

From her family: "Thank you again for taking a chance on us a few years ago. She was the best and sweetest dog we could ever have asked for. I would have been happy as can be with Schatzi for the rest of my life."

Run free sweet girl…you are loved and will be missed.
