our beloved GSPs

"Our animal friends teach us more than we could have expected and love us more than we could have hoped.  That's why we miss them more than we could have imagined."

Henry
2011-2019

We hate ending the week with sad news so we’d like to call this a celebration of our 2013 Alumnus Henry’s life.
From his loving Mom Mary:  “Our beautiful, sweet Henry passed over the Rainbow Bridge today to join our other boys, Max and Ike. He entered our home and our hearts from rescue on Nov 24, 2013 and left us with broken hearts far too soon. He bravely fought through many rounds of chemo for lymphoma and never once lost his warm snuggle or wagging tail. While he came to us with a less than happy past, he spent every day with us enjoying and giving love. He is already greatly missed and will always be greatly loved. 🐾💔😥🙏🌈”
Henry’s life in rescue started when our volunteer David and his daughter pulled him from Bay County Animal Control in Panama City, FL.  He had a winding road through rescue, being fostered by our experienced Florida volunteer Beth, our Founder Beth Cochran and finally our TN volunteer Cat. His road led him to the exact spot he needed to be…with Mary and her family.
Thank you to everyone who made Henry’s life happy, especially his Mom Mary.  Run free sweet Henry – you were loved to the very end and beyond.
