Freddy - NC

Hi! My name is Freddy. I am a 3-year-old GSP located in Fayetteville, NC. Aren’t I handsome?  
 
Unfortunately, my current family doesn’t have any time for me. They keep me on a tether in their backyard which means I can’t run and play. And when I am inside, they keep me in a crate most of the time. This makes me so sad. I want to cuddle with my family and show them what a smart and sweet boy I am! And did I mention that I am super handsome? 

Guess what? I am crate-trained, house-trained, and neutered. I am great with other big dogs if they aren’t around at mealtimes. I have developed resource guarding with my food, probably due to how I have been treated, so I will probably learn to trust and relax more with love and patience. I have a strong prey drive, so no cats or small animals please. My favorite pastime is running; especially playing with a tennis ball. I am a typical GSP and would love a family that would include me in their lives, make sure that I get lots of exercise, teach me new things and love on me like crazy. My current family hasn’t had time to teach me much, but I do know how to sit. I can’t wait for you teach me more! 

My perfect family would understand the needs of a GSP and be active outside, maybe taking me with them running, biking and/or hiking and/or taking me places where I could safely stretch my paws to my heart’s content! Is that you? I promise you I will be the bestest boy if you give me a chance.
