We're so happy for you Gunny! Adopted March 2019Sam is now officially part of The McRae family. According to his new family, he’s living it up exploring his new back yard, has already “slithered” up onto the couch with his new mom, went to the park, spent some time at Lowe’s soaking up all of the attention from bystanders and has ended his weekend with a movie night amongst his two-legged siblings.
His foster Mom Jordan never had a doubt that this boy was going to make the best family dog. Thank you Jordan for nursing this boy through heartworm treatment and finding his perfect home! Adopted March 2019Sassy has been adopted!! Allen, Julie and granddaughter Harper are excited to welcome Sassy to her forever home! It took a 500 mile drive to get Sassy to her new family, but she was excited. She's never been much of a tail wagger, but she went right up to Allen and Julie with her tail a wagging!
Welcome home Sassy. Adopted March 2019Belle's adoption was official yesterday. She was adopted by Eleanor Williams & Robert MacPherson from Spartanburg, SC. Belle's foster Mom, Jennifer, said she had a big and fabulous first day with her new family. A day of hiking was planned for Belle at Tallulah Gorge.
Jennifer got an update from Eleanor later and she said "Belle loved it. She was pointing the whole time! We've been at our house for a few hours now and she finally crashed. She has been slowly coming out of her shell and started playing with our hair before she fell asleep." Congratulations to Belle and her new family and thank you Jennifer for fostering Belle. Adopted March 2019A happy day in Georgia :)
From Willow's foster Mom, Camylla - "We just dropped off Willow! What a beautiful home they have and a beautiful family! David and Elaine will make the perfect parents for this sweet girl. After 1,532 miles driving by her owner from Florida to Tennessee to pick her up, she has finally arrived. We are so very excited for Dolly and the Redmond family! ADOPTED MARCH 2019Mickey has found his forever home! His new Dad drove all the way from Florida to Tennessee to meet him. His new brother Sig approved so they all headed back south. Another happy ending!
Thank you to his foster parents Michael and Amy and to Family Pet Health in Murphreesboro, TN for taking such good care of Mickey after being run over by a tractor (and convincing the owner to surrender vs euthanize). It’s always exciting to see the transformation from broken-to-healthy, happy GSP. Congratulations to the Jameson family (and Mickey)! Thank you Julie for fostering him, loving him and making sure he went to the home that was best for his temperament. From his new Mom: “Harnett is the sweetest dog ever! His shyness is starting to wear off and he is giving us kisses now. ”
Congratulations to the Hammond family – we hope Harnett will help fill the void since your sweet Cocoa passed away. We’ve been promised a family photo is coming shortly… Adopted March 2019Poppy (aka Popcorn) is adopted!
Turns out her foster Mom Renee just couldn’t part with her and we couldn’t be happier for both of them. This is Renee’s first foster “fail” after fostering for SEGSP 3 times …3rd time's the charm 😊. Congratulations Renee and Poppy! Adopted February 2019Hey Everyone - Leopold's foster Mom, Kristin, emailed us yesterday and told us they couldn't part with Leopold and wanted to adopt him!
This was her message - "Leopold and our girl Reagan have become fast buddies and Leopold instantly stole our hearts. Reagan is really enjoying having a big brother to run, wrestle, and cuddle with and we hate to separate them now." I think the pictures say it all :) Congratulations to Kristin, her husband, Reagan and Leopold! Adopted January 2019George, who joined us in Rescue just last month, has hit the jackpot! His foster mom Cathy - and his canine siblings - decided they can't part with him.
Cathy is one of our most amazing foster moms -- in fact, we've lost count of how many dogs she fostered for us this year alone. In a jam, Cathy comes to the rescue and can fix just about any dog issue -- she's literally like doggie rescue 911! Which is just what she did with George - she offered to temp foster him right before the holidays and then the fun began... (her furniture begs to differ)! We asked Cathy why she chose George, after all the many, many dogs that have crossed her path. Her response: "What clinched it for him as “here to stay” is what he does for his canine siblings. I’ve had Dakota for 10 years (he’s 11) and Georgia for 5 (she’s 8ish). Those two dogs have never played with each other. EVER. But then along comes George, the party coordinator. It didn’t look promising at first, but then one day it just clicked. Now all 3 dogs play together and share toys constantly. George adds so much joy to their lives (mine too), I just can’t see taking him away from them. I love George as much as I have loved all my fosters — but Georgia and Dakota asked if they could keep him." Well played George, well played! Here are pictures showing Georgia asking if George can stay, and George saying, "REALLY??!" Congratulations Cathy, George, Dakota and Georgia! ADOPTED JANUARY 2019Doc has found his forever home!
