We think that Jack wants to tell everybody something.... we had a feeling it was coming, but Jack has confirmed it – he wants to stay with his foster family, forever. When Jack’s GSP sister and SEGSP alumna Pearl passed away, it was Jack that stayed with his dad while he dug her grave and he didn’t leave his side until she was buried. That’s love and Jack knew he was needed. Congratulations to Marjie and Richard as well as Jack – it’s a happy day!

Jager has found his home! His foster mom Rachel let him come along for the home visit – and after meeting their Weimaraner, Houston, he checked out their entire house, back yard, chased some of their lizards and birds and took a few dips in their pool. He then tested out their snuggle ability and ear rubbing skills. Jager then told his foster mom she had found the perfect home for him. Thank you to the Bush family for taking such good care of Jager and preparing him for this day. And congratulations Chelsea and Peter on your adoption of Jager, as well as your very recent marriage (yesterday) and of course congrats to Jager! So sweet that his new dad wore a jagermeister shirt for the occasion 😊
Buster has found his forever home! His foster mom Linda had some issues with receiving email so we apologize if anyone was unable to reach her. Buster had a lot of interest and Linda put so much time and effort into finding the right home for him – thank you Linda! The Bieber family lost one of their GSPs to cancer in January and their dog Krissy was lonely – and Buster was just what she needed to heal her heart. Congratulations to the Beiber family and Buster!
Cagney and Lacey (now Luna & Aldi) were adopted this past weekend! Cagney and Lacey's foster Mom, Jocelyn, worked very hard to keep these bonded girls together and we're thrilled that her diligence paid off. Congrats to Luna, Aldi, Jack and Michael!
Turtle, now Theo, has found his forever home! The final decision between a few excellent family choices came down to Theo himself. He just LOVED Jazzy so the Pettis family it is. A huge thank you to Ellen and Mike for fostering Theo, meticulously determining his needs, training him on the basics (very well) and most of all, giving him lots of love and finding his forever home. Congratulations to Theo and the Pettis family!
Today is a great day! Socks (TN) met his forever family, the Ullmans, and is headed to his new home in Florida. We are so grateful to the Kmyer family for working with him and training Socks while in their care. He is the best boy and is going to be such a great addition to the new family. A special thank you to our SEGSP volunteer, Julie, who offered her fenced yard so that they could meet safely and Socks could get some exercise before the long trip. Our volunteers and our adopters are simply the BEST!
Remember the sweet video last week where the Velloff family surprised their boys by telling them that Jax chose them for his forever family? Well, today, their promise became reality. Jax was excited and proud to pose with his new family and after the long ride home, he took some time to hunt and explore his beautiful new yard. Jax has a lot of GSP puppy energy, so a great backyard and an active family is going to be great for him! Congratulations to Jax and the Velloff family, and a special thank you to The Gills family (including SEGSP alum, Hershey), for being an awesome foster family for Jax.
Sir Benjamin Button (formerly Button) has found his forever home! A huge thank you to his foster family that worked so hard to socialize and train him so that he was ready for his new home. Benjamin now has 3 human siblings to play with and since he won’t have a canine sibling, he’ll get 100% of their attention. Congratulations to the Ricker family – and how wonderful that Benjamin’s Gotcha Day is Independence Day?!
Vinci (FL) has decided he really loves his current home so much that he’s going to just stay. Vinci has worked hard to learn indoor doggy manners and house-training but he has that figured out now. Thank you George for fostering Vinci and falling in love with him. Congratulations!
Grace (FL) loves her ball and also loves her new home. That is – her foster home is now her forever home! From her new mom:
“We are over the moon in love and excited for our sweet girl. We hit the jackpot with her! She is the sweetest girl and most perfect baby (our dogs are our kids!)! I Believe it was divine intervention and/or serendipity that she ended up in our home! We are so thankful to SEGSP! We couldn’t imagine her going anywhere else but right here with us and we think she feels the same! She is in a routine and loves everything about our family and loves her sissies! Every morning she wakes up so happy and appreciative, giving us and her pup sisters loving/sugar!” Congratulations to Grace and the Dellerman family! |
