Brewer, fostered in TN, has an announcement. He has decided that he is so happy in his foster home that he thinks he’s just going to stay...permanently!
His mom, Julie, says that he is the best cuddle buddy, loves to chase critters, sleeps through the night, is crate trained and knows how to sit—big feats for a little guy! He’s a super happy boy who follows his big sis, Hannah, around copying everything she does. And she’s pretty fond of him, too! Thank you so much for fostering him and congratulations on your new boy, Julie! We can’t wait to see updates on Brewer as best continues to grow up and live his best life with you and Hannah!

Gino, now called Grady, went to his forever home yesterday! His foster mom Kim had a tearful moment when Gino pulled in her direction, but there is no doubt in her mind that the Sadow family is the perfect home for Gino.. Thank you to Gino’s foster family for loving Gino and helping him along his journey. Looks like Gino was comfy on his trip “home.” Congratulations Grady and the Sadow family!
Derby made it to her forever home in GA over the weekend! Her mom Stacey said she is getting along great with their GSP Copper. Thank you to her foster mom Megan for making this match possible – Derby is a lucky girl to have so many people love her. And congratulations to Derby and the Eslinger family!
Luna, now Mollie, has found her forever home! This sweet girl came to rescue with a little anxiety and with the love and support of her foster mom Missy, she’s doing fantastic and found the perfect forever home for her. Thank you Missy! From her new dad: “We are so happy to have her! In just a few days she has brought much joy to our home and our other GSP Buck. …Also Missy and her family did an extraordinary job with Luna/Mollie she is a great match for us. Thank you to everyone involved for making this happen and a big thanks to Southeast GSP Rescue.”
Congratulations to Luna and the Slepsky family! SHE SAID YES!!!! Lucious, who will now be called Lucas, says “I won the prize! I get to be a member of the Parson posse!” Lucas is a “slight” heartworm positive after his last test, but due to his anxiety issues the decision was made to use the slow kill method which is not our normal protocol. However, we know the Parson family are committed to continuing his treatment as a member of their family.
Lucas not only has 5 siblings now....he also has two cousins...Max and Lucy! 🥰 From left to right are Haines, Lottie, Lucas, Lucy, Max, Piper (in the chair), The General, mom, and Josie! YAY it’s a happy day! Herschel has finally done it – he decided on his forever home! A HUGE thank you to Herschel’s foster parents Shirley and Art for everything they’ve done to prepare Herschel for this day! And of course CONGRATULATIONS to Herschel and the Stolze family!
Ingrid, now Maggie, has found her forever home! She had been brought in to a shelter to be euthanized after being used for breeding and thankfully SEGSP was contacted. She’s had a rough life, including going through heartworm treatment and a surgery to correct a broken foot. However after 5 months she is ready to start her new life. A huge thank you to her foster mom Stephanie for helping her through the long and sometimes painful healing process and for finding the right home for Maggie. Congratulations to Maggie and the Burns family!
Heidi (AL) has found her forever home– yaaaay! Heidi is 10 years young and was surrendered to a shelter by her former owner, but we’re positive that Heidi is about to start the best years of her life. Thank you to her foster mom Beth and congratulations to Heidi and Keith!
Bandit has found his home - right where he is with his foster family! From his forever mom Abby: “Bandit has stolen our hearts and we are thrilled that he has chosen us as his forever family” Bandit was found roaming the streets in MS and lucked out when SEGSP was contacted. He’s recently recovered from heartworms and we’re so excited for him. His human sister calls him a goofball and very pliable because he smiles all the time and just melts into you when you pet him. We are so happy for Bandit and his new family - Congratulations!
