Lady, in FL, has found her forever home! She has been in rescue since September battling heartworm disease as well as learning to be comfortable with humans. While in rescue she fell in love with her Aunt Lucy who is finishing vet school. No doubt, Lady’s time in rescue has brought her to a very good place in life. She’s happy, healthy and secure in her “shorthair.” No more intense fear or heartworms for Lady – ever again. Thank you to her foster parents Jorge and Caroline (as well as her temp foster homes with the Schmidt and Pocchiari families). Congratulations Lady and Lucy!
Benelli has found his forever home! He came to rescue after weeks at a shelter. His foster mom said there’s no doubt he went through some bad things before he was rescued. He was afraid of everything and only being under a blanket made him feel safe. He didn’t even know how to play. But his foster family helped him through all that and he is very excited to have his own forever family.
Thank you to the Garland family for fostering Benelli. And congratulations to Benelli and the Suvas family! Picasso, who had been left on the side of a road in a crate then entered rescue and had two surgeries for a cleft palate, has a happy ending – his foster family is adopting him! Thank you SO MUCH to Chara and Charles (both Veterinarians) who took Picasso under their wing, found an amazing dental specialist, Dr. Galloway (and his wonderful staff at Animal Dental Care Specialists in TN), to transform Picasso’s face and change his life – forever.
From his mom: “We love him so much and can’t imagine life without him. He is the sweetest most lovable goofball who keeps us entertained and constantly on our toes. He’s truly become a part of our family through all of this and we just can’t see parting with him.” Congratulations Picasso, Chara and Charles! Suttree has chosen his forever family! It was tough, and he had a lot of applicants, but his new dad Bowen was the one that fit Suttree’s needs the best. A big thank you to the Proctor family for fostering Suttree and for traveling from SC to TN to meet his new dad. They were also able to reunite with Suttree’s sister Rowan and her new family in TN at the same time. It was a sweet reunion. From their foster mom Leslie: “Suttree is ready for lots of new adventures with his dad. I’m so excited that both these pups have found great homes. It has been a pleasure getting to be a part of Rowan and Suttree’s life. My heart has been blessed having these 2 fur babies in my life.” Congratulations to Suttree and his dad Bowen!
Rowan has found her forever home! Her new mom Carrie said Rowan is adjusting well and her human siblings came home to a big furry surprise so there was a lot of excitement.
Thank you to Rowan’s foster family, the Proctors, who took such great care of her and evaluated her temperament so thoroughly in order to find the right home for her (and reviewed many great applicants). Congrats to Rowan and the Stovall family! Nash has found his forever home…right where he is with his foster family!
This big boy has a big heart and the Robinson family fell in love right away. Nash was their 3rd foster pup and their son prayed before bed that they would be Nash’s forever home. How can you ignore a 5 year old’s prayer?! And whenever Nash goes outside, he looks up at the sky and just pauses and looks around taking it all in. Perhaps he was praying also? We think so! His mom Ali says “So glad he landed in our home and made his way into our hearts!” Congratulations! Great news - Lily (FL) finally had her heartworm test (delayed due to the pandemic) and….she is NEGATIVE! And her foster mom told us she started Lily’s write-up but when she thought of what the perfect family for Lily would be, she realized she was describing THEM and their dog, Chief! Victoria says Lily fits in perfectly with their family and they can’t see life without her. So, even better news…Lily has found her forever home – right where she is YAY! Congratulations to the Clark family!
Bandit (FL) has a big announcement to make – he is HOME!
He reviewed so many applications to adopt him, but after having both of his foster parents working from home it gave him time to really know them. And boy does he love them! Of course his brother Remington also had something to do with the decision – Bandit has become VERY close to his canine brother. He’s been known for his expertise in escaping (like the “watch ol Bandit run” song) but he’s put that behind him to settle down. From his mom Kim: “He will be registered as a GSP with AKC as a PAL registration and his official name will be: “Stealing Heart’s like a Bandit”. I hope to start training him immediate for a few titles like Canine Good Citizen CGC and the temperament test ATT. Once things are back to normal he will participate in sports like BarnHunt which will be excellent for his hunting skills and possibly Agility which would give him an outlet for getting out some energy. He is an amazing boy and Remington just loves him as you can tell.” We couldn’t be happier for Bandit, aka Bandito, and the Levee family – congratulations! Ranger (TN) has found his forever home!
Ranger lived his entire 9 ½ years alone in an outdoor kennel before rescue found him - but never again. He will be loved, live pampered inside and a member of the Wooten family for the rest of his life. Congratulations Allie, Josh and Ranger! Spice Girl (formerly Spike) has found her forever home!
Her foster mom Megan no doubt shed a few tears when she said farewell, but she prepared this girl for a wonderful life with her forever home – thank you Megan! Spice was brought into Rescue after her owner passed away. What started out very sad, has a VERY happy ending! Thank you to her transport team: Megan, Andy, Brenda & Ron and her new parents, Marion & Matt! And congratulations to Spice and the West family! |
