Lots to celebrate on the blog this week! We have gotcha days, milestones and just plain old good news! Lolly '22It’s Lolly’s 1 year Gotcha Day This time last year there was a huge hole in my heart from losing Otis. Now my heart is overflowing again. Lolly made everything better and we couldn’t love her more. She’s the biggest snuggler, wants a good belly rub anytime of the day, loves her blue rhino “Reba”, and loves bossing Scout around every day. We are so very thankful for SEGSP and Deanna Jones Herbert for picking us to be her forever family. This girl has filled our house with lots of laughs and big love! Ernie '192019 alum Ernie was found emaciated and nursed back to health. Fast forward, he now LOVES to dance with his mom Amy! What a great story. Saban '22Recent alumnus Saban is doing amazing and loving his new family, especially his new GSP sister Piper. He takes frequent walks to the local dog park where he enjoys his ball-fetching frenzy. Dylan '22Dylann helped her mom celebrate a big career change! She’s moving from Naval Aviation to Navy Medical Service Corps to be an Aerospace Experimental Psychologist! Dylann is looking forward to mama being home at a regular time everyday and no more deployments (and so is mama). Dylann and her brother Tatum were honored guests at the winging ceremony, but were more interested in the birds on the bayou than in the pomp and circumstance on the dock! Baxter '22We celebrated our one year gotcha day anniversary with Baxter last weekend! We like to think he is living his best life here in Pinehurst! Baxter spends his days chasing squirrels (he has caught one!), barking at everyone and everything that passes by his yard, and expressing his happiness with full body wags. We have kept in touch with Baxter’s foster momma, Kristy. Her Pointing Dog Collars make him the most dapper dog in the neighborhood! Baxter’s Instagram has about 600 followers (@gsp_Baxter_T)! We are so lucky to have Baxter - he was the dog we needed. He makes every day joyful! Do you have an update to share? We'd love to hear from you. Send us a message and a picture or video to be featured on social media.

Happy Sunday Alum Day! We have great updates for you this week on the blog. We appreciate everyone sending in notes and photos. It is so wonderful to hear about our alumni. Remi (and brother Grover)Remi is doing great! From his mom, Lizzy, "I took him on a run yesterday instead of our normal walk and he did quite well... but when I tried to get him to sit for a picture, he was too distracted by a squirrel." LOL Remi. We understand! (Pictured snuggling with sibling Grover.) Tilley '22From her mom, Mary Ann, "Tilley (right) had her last heart worm treatment on 8 Dec and is doing fine. I'm just waiting for the green light from the vet to allow her to run around again. She's fitting in great with the family and everyone loves her. She gets along really well with my new GSP male, Trigger, also. She's definitely the boss!" Dudley '22Alum Dudley (left) was adopted in August of 2022 (foster fail) after undergoing heartworm treatment. He was just neutered and his mom, Katie, says he is a great addition to the pack. Henry '222022 Alum Henry is having a blast with his family! From his dad Norm, “He is an absolute handful. But he is so much fun and he loves his mom and dad very much. He is a goofball for sure. He has energy for days on end. He loves the pool even when it's freezing out. Henry is so smart that it gets him in trouble. I try to let him do his thing but I have to temper his curiosity, so he doesn't get into trouble. He hasn't met a dog yet that he hasn't made friends with or at least try too. He would rather roll over and be submissive if they get mad at him. He now follows me everywhere! He just wants to go where I go.” Thanks for another great week of updates!
