Celebrate Good Times

1/22/2023

Lots to celebrate on the blog this week! We have gotcha days, milestones and just plain old good news!

Here are updates from Lolly '22, Ernie '19, Saban '22, Dylann '22 and Baxter '22!

Lolly '22

It’s Lolly’s 1 year Gotcha Day

This time last year there was a huge hole in my heart from losing Otis.  Now my heart is overflowing again.  Lolly made everything better and we couldn’t love her more.  She’s the biggest snuggler, wants a good belly rub anytime of the day, loves her blue rhino “Reba”, and loves bossing Scout around every day.  We are so very thankful for SEGSP and Deanna Jones Herbert for picking us to be her forever family.  This girl has filled our house with lots of laughs and big love!

Ernie '19

2019 alum Ernie was found emaciated and nursed back to health. Fast forward, he now LOVES to dance with his mom Amy! What a great story.

Saban '22

Recent alumnus Saban is doing amazing and loving his new family, especially his new GSP sister Piper. He takes frequent walks to the local dog park where he enjoys his ball-fetching frenzy.

Dylan '22

Dylann helped her mom celebrate a big career change! She’s moving from Naval Aviation to Navy Medical Service Corps to be an Aerospace Experimental Psychologist! Dylann is looking forward to mama being home at a regular time everyday and no more deployments (and so is mama). Dylann and her brother Tatum were honored guests at the winging ceremony, but were more interested in the birds on the bayou than in the pomp and circumstance on the dock!

Baxter '22

We celebrated our one year gotcha day anniversary with Baxter last weekend!  We like to think he is living his best life here in Pinehurst!  Baxter spends his days chasing squirrels (he has caught one!), barking at everyone and everything that passes by his yard, and expressing his happiness with full body wags.  We have kept in touch with Baxter’s foster momma, Kristy.  Her Pointing Dog Collars make him the most dapper dog in the neighborhood!  Baxter’s Instagram has about 600 followers (@gsp_Baxter_T)!  We are so lucky to have Baxter - he was the dog we needed.  He makes every day joyful!
