We have some great updates for you this week. So many of our alumni simply living their best lives! We hope you enjoy all the updates in this week's Sunday Alum Day blog post about Baby, Cricket Mae, Rilee, Stella. Heidi, Miss Money Penny, Truffles and Mae B. Bird.BabyRobin, Baby's Mom, wrote to us and shared, "Baby was rescued by SEGSP and was known as Cleveland then. She got adopted and became Roxey. Well after multiple times of escape, Gene and I were asked if we would take her. What a gift. She makes us laugh. She is very vocal and pushes dad around. She is such a different dog since we took her in. She wouldn’t get out of the car the other day because she wanted more travel time. She is all GSP (stubborn and demanding) but we love her anyways." Cricket Mae (formerly Umbra)We got a phone call from Foster Umbra’s now known as Cricket Mae's, dad yesterday with an update. She was proudly one of the Dogs of Honor at their beach wedding and loved the beach especially digging holes in the sand. She has had a busy life already with her new family. She has become a regular at Dunkin Donuts where they all know her by name and known her order before she has to ask, the local ABC store keeps ready whip and cups In a mini fridge for her and she goes and lays behind the counter while dad shops. She goes on fire/rescue calls with dad and has become the fire station mascot. She loves her ribeye medium rare and her bourbon properly aged, you know the expensive stuff. She liked to chase the wild turkeys and take dad on mile long hikes instead of him going to work. Clearly she is living her best life!!! A note from dad; She definitely is a daddy’s girl and stolen our hearts. She is my snuggle buddy and knows if she gets on her back daddy will rub her belly till she snores. Her and Mork did a 400 lap race after a squirrel this morning in the back yard. Not sure who wore out first them or the squirrel. Lol. She is so full of love she just has to feel safe to share it with you. She will finally lick me on the face when I ask her for some sugar. Rilee (formerly Cash)Our recent alum Rilee (formerly Cash, one of the 10 puppies) has graduated from obedience class – YAAAY Rilee! From his new family, “Rilee B Cash Freeman is doing great! He is attending puppy classes and is rockin farm life. Rilee has so easily become part of our family unit that we don’t remember what life was even like before he was in it. He is so smart and sweet. We are so fortunate. We are in love” Stella (formerly Estelle)From her mom Lisa, Stella (Estelle) is living her best life! Give her a comfy couch and a fenced in yard to roam, and she’s a happy girl! Rescued from SEGSP Rescue…estimated to be about 13 years old. Miss Money PennyMiss Money Penny is loving life at her home. Her mom Heidi posted this photo on our senior day post on Facebook and we are excited to share. She is about 12 years young now. HeidiHeidi is celebrating her one year anniversary with Ross & Yvette. Her parents say she is doing great and they absolutely love her. TrufflesFrom mom Cheryl, "Truffles, 12 years old, who we got in 2010 from Beth Cochran (who founded SEGSP Rescue) is doing great. We love Truff with all of our heart & so thankful that Beth was her first Mommy." Mae B. Bird2012 Alum Mae B. Bird and her mom Catherine, who creates our dog dolls (for adoptions and memorials), had a wonderful week with their great nieces and nephews. Great Niece Abigail Ivey painted Mae's portrait and Catherine had them printed on t-shirts for their week together. Adorable!
