Recent Alumni Updates

10/30/2022

We've got some great alumni updates for you this week on some of our more recent alumni. Check out below what's happening with Hank '22, Bandit '20, Walker '22, and Jäeger '21, !

Thank you to those that sent in updates this week. We ask and you listened! We got lots to share, so look forward to more updates next week too.

Hank '22

Our recent alum Hank is doing very well according to his new dad David.  From David, “He is doing excellent!  He is so happy living with us and goes everywhere with me. Thank you for choosing me. He is about as GSP as a GSP can be if you know what I mean.   But he is really thriving in his new life.  He goes to work with me each day and patrols the yard when we come home at night.  I’ve never seen a dog that would rather run outside than get a treat.  As long as he has his people and space to run, he is happy and behaves well.  I’ve attached a couple of photos of him and want to thank SEGSP again for bringing him into our life.”

Check out alums Bandit 2020 and Walker 2022 who are doing amazing things these days.

Bandit an already established Master Barn Hunter has now learned to Dock Dive which has to be his favorite thing ever.  Right next to being a chewy.com model, he still loves to play dress up. Bandit earned his first dock diving title (DJ) in just five jumps, with a personal best of 14 feet 5 inches.  Not too bad for a 7 year old. Bandit recently also earned a intermediate trick title (TKI)  - Stealing Hearts Like A Bandit - CGC TKI ATT RATI RATS DJ

Walker in his short six months since adoption has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen Title (CGC), passed the AKC Temperment Test which is also a title (ATT), earned his Novice Trick Title (TKN), learned to Barn Hunt adding a Novice Title (RATN), and also continuing agility and dock diving training.  He is a busy boy which is best for that puppy brain of his. - Walker's 2 Fast 2 Furious CGC TKN ATT RATI RATN

Both boys will be featured in an upcoming coffee table book "Tails of the Treasure Coast".  The book is being produced by a local photographer as a fundraising effort for a local rescue.

Jäeger '21

From the Kurilla Family: "We just hit one year with our sweet Jäeger, and he is such a joy! He loves running around playing with his GSP brother Jax, and his Catahoula sister Kahlua. He has so much energy, and if you even say the B word (ball) he goes INSANE.
We are so incredibly grateful for you all bringing him into our lives. We couldn’t imagine our lives without him making us laugh, constantly. Here are some pictures of him this past year! Thank you all again for ALL you do!"

Thank you for continuing to send us updates! We LOVE hearing from you.
