Bella Blue

2/21/2023

Bella Blue has very happy news – she is HOME!  A big thank you to her foster family Allyson and Jesse for helping her on her journey to a beautiful life.  Bella had a lot of great applicants, and it was a tough choice, but she is definitely going to have a great life.  Congratulations to Bella Blue and the Asdale family!

Jack

2/21/2023

Jack (FL, on doormat) has found his forever home!  He is especially excited about his new GSP sibling Mabel but also has 2 human sisters to play with (and a swimming pool for more fun).  Congratulations to Jack and the Jancek family and a huge thank you to Jack’s foster parents Linda and Larry for helping Jack find the perfect home.

Doug

2/18/2023

Sweet senior, Doug, that has been searching high and low for his forever family has finally hit the jackpot.

Donna & Bill drove from Central FL to Miami to meet, and take home Doug. He loved them instantly. He felt comfortable snoozing on the ride and made himself right at home on arrival.

Congratulations to Donna, Bill & Doug!

Fritz- Beaux

2/12/2023

An exciting announcement from Fritz’s foster family…

“SEGSP Alum, Bandit, begged for foster brother Fritz to be able to stay and we happily agreed!  Foster Fail #2 for the Braman family!   Fritz has a new name, Beaux, to celebrate his new Mississippi and Louisiana roots.  Thank you so much to SEGSP for all that you do for this amazing breed!”

Fritz came to rescue as a stray, was very thin (at least 10 lbs. underweight) and had a scary upper respiratory infection.  But he quickly gained weight, healed from the infection, and won his foster family’s heart very quickly. We are so excited for Fritz and the Braman family – CONGRATULATIONS!

River

2/9/2023

River (TN), and the mother of recent alums, Rooster, and Maverick, has decided that she likes it so much at her foster home that she’d like to stay there…FOREVER.  And her new parents, Mandy and Darrell, plus four-legged sisters, Holly, and SEGSP Alum, Maple Ruth, agree!

“She’s the sweetest girl,” say her new parents, “and she gets along so well with our other dogs.  They accepted her immediately.   She’s such a precious girl and is so easy to love.  She absolutely loves running in the yard with our dogs and at the dog park, running and playing with every dog there, but loves to cuddle in your lap just as much.  It’s the best of both worlds!”

River was surrendered to a TN shelter, and she was so scared and nervous there, that the shelter suggested SEGSP take her ASAP.  Her transformation is a HUGE success story. And she fits so nicely with her new pack and human family, and we couldn’t be happier for her. We love happy endings!

And a great big thanks to everyone who helped River on her journey, Sophia, and Crystal, who helped her so much by fostering her when she arrived in rescue.  You’ll always be a special part of her forever story.  Included here is a “before” pic of her at the shelter.  What a difference love can make!

Wagner

2/7/2023

Wagner has found his forever home with Jean and Robert!  From his foster mom Susie, “Jean & Robert seem to be the most doting parents and met us fully equipped with new blankets, bed and matching pointer hats to get Wagner.

Susie shared this email from Jean, “Wagner had a good first night and only woke up once during the night. He is so sweet and loving and I am sure that is because of the great care and love you all gave him. He played in the back yard all afternoon today until dark. He has met lots of neighbors and dogs. Coco, the Labradoodle across the street stayed over this afternoon and they had a great time. He barked for the first time today on our walk every time we came across a squirrel. Last night he saw some deer too. Thank you for selecting us to be his new parents. We are so happy to have him join us now.”

Congrats to Wagner, Jean and Robert – it’s a happy day!

Babs

2/4/2023

Babs (on right) has found her forever family!  This petite young girl was found as a stray and once in rescue won the hearts of everyone she met. In fact, her foster family considered keeping her, but she had so many wonderful applicants they decided to let her go…but it was tough.  Congrats to Babs and the Ray family, including her new canine sibling Elsa (on left) – the perfect match!
