Amos has found his forever home. A huge thank you to the Strawn family for fostering him and helping him on his journey.
His forever mom Mandy said, “Amos (aka Famous Amos, aka Moss, aka Moss-o-moss, aka Moss Man) has been such a fun, sweet, cuddly and crazy addition to our family! He made himself right at home and has already become accustomed to a morning golf cart ride to a huge park where he chases lizards, birds, turtles, fish, and dragonflies to his heart’s content. He LOVES the golf cart, and dips into the garage to ‘go get in his seat’ any chance he gets! After a park or a morning run, he spends hours napping upside down to recover, before asking for his evening walk. We have been leash training and Amos is doing so well! He is a great running partner and is becoming a great walking partner, too. Amos is about the cuddliest, lovin-est dog we have ever owned (and he’s our 3rd GSP, so that’s saying something!) We love that his face is a little droopy, he has not met a creature he does not love, he likes chasing dragonflies, he’s a total momma’s boy, and that he watches tv with interest! We adore our sweet Moss Man and are forever grateful to SEGSP Rescue and Amos’ fosters for taking such great care of him, and turning over to us a healthy and happy dog. We promise to keep him that way, and to give him all the love and cuddles he can handle! With gratitude, The Wilkinsons (Mandy, Tim & Jemma)” CONGRATS Amos, Mandy, Tim and Jemma! Queenie (TN) has found her forever home! Her new mom, Sarah (in this picture) said, “From the moment Queenie stepped into her new home, it was as if she had always been there. She adores looking out the window, watching the birds and squirrels that pass by. She loves going for walks around the neighborhood and is quickly getting the lay of the land. Queenie is an absolute joy to be around and is as sweet as can be!”
What a fantastic job her foster family, the Madisons, did, not only in fostering her but in choosing her perfect family. We are so grateful to our foster families. What an important role the play in helping us rescue the dogs we do! And our happy news continues… Congratulations Marley, on her first trip with her foster family to visit her foster grandparents, Marley found her forever home. Her foster grandparents and brothers have fallen in love with her. Marley fits right in with her new brothers, and they never stop playing. Marley has an acre of land to run on to keep her and her brothers in shape. We have no doubt she will be spoiled just like her brothers are.
Marley was one of the two puppies who, after arriving in rescue, had immediate care and treatment for Parvo. Sabrina and her parents took such great care of Marley they couldn’t stand to see her leave the family. It was a match made in heaven! We’re so happy that Marley will be living her best life with her family, including canine companions! What a happy day, filled with lots of forever posts. Another one… Patch (Cooper ‘Coop’ for short) has found his forever home – YAY! His foster parents Anna and Jason were so thorough with determining the best home for Patch – thank you both so much. Anna said, "It’s only been 20 minutes and we already miss him! Thank you guys for the opportunity to be able to foster. It has brought me so much joy! I look forward to doing it again."
Congratulations Patch, Belinda and Jim! We’re looking forward to receiving updates… Little George (TN/NC) wanted to let everybody know that his meet-n-greet was a big success, and he’s thrilled to report that he’s now settling into a new home! This special little guy was so very lucky to have so many wonderful homes interested in him, and he found just the right fit with his new best friend, Jane, who was able to offer him just the right mix of leadership and love. We just know he is going to continue to blossom, and we cannot wait to hear future updates as he continues his training with a goal of eventually earning his Canine Good Citizen. Big adventures await this amazing team — he’s already been to the dog park, gone for rides, and played hard in his new back yard with all the toys that were ready and waiting for him when he got home. Our hearts are full. Also, a big THANK YOU to the staff at Kanupp Kennels for advancing George’s training and getting him ready for this special day!
Congratulations to the Johnson family on the adoption of Edgar. Edgar came into rescue after being found as a stray and really thrived in rescue. A huge thank you to Lauren and her family for fostering Edgar. We look forward to more updates from this sweet boy.
Blake (now Bert) in NC didn't have to look far for his forever home!
From his foster mom, Kathleen, “I have been fostering Bert for several months now, he was heartworm positive and has now completed his treatment. During this time our daughter Chandler and her wife Annamaria, have been around after a move back from the West Coast. Chandler has been with me for all of the rescue goings on that happen here in our home. She has been with me picking up litters of puppies, shelter dogs as well as owner-surrenders, but none have touched her heart like Bert! We knew early on he wouldn't be going anywhere except to their new home just over an hour away. His Moms say he is settling in great. He tries to get his new sibling Theodore to play with him but so far he has declined. We feel like it will happen, after all who can resist this face. Annamaria loves to run and is looking forward to when Bert can join her! I love that he can come to visit often and they will never have to worry about dog-care! We are so happy he has stayed in the family.” Congratulations to the Hidalgo-Christensen family! Gia (SC) has found her forever home…with her foster family! Her mom Jackie said, “Gia’s big sister, SEGSP alumni Dixie (dark one in the back), decided pretty early on that she wanted little Gigi to stay (far right). Those two gals are inseparable!” We are so happy to add little Gia to our pack. And my crew will do anything for blueberries, even momentarily sit still LOL.”
We have a very happy update on little Margot in NC…
Her mom Suzie said, “Margot, now known as Daisy, is a real sweetheart! Daisy is really blossoming and showing her personality. She has learned so many new things! She loves to swim in the pool, hunt frogs and bunnies, play with toys, catch fireflies and other bugs, meet other dogs and people and share a cozy cave with her sibling. But her favorite thing is dinner time, she is quite the little piggy. She is potty trained, knows sit, down and come; although, we still need to work on come because she forgets what to when she is hunting a critter. She brings in “presents” to her mom she finds in the backyard and loves running around with her 3 siblings. She loves everyone and everything. She is perfect! The family has voted and decided Daisy is staying here!” Whoo Hoo Daisy! Congratulations! We have wonderful news! Ziggy, in FL, has decided to stay forever with the family that fostered him – the McCaa family. His mom announced, “We would like to officially adopt this little thief of our hearts. He told us he wants to stay so we have named him Bishop.”
Congratulations Bishop and the entire McCaa family! |
