Forrest

8/31/2023

Forrest is home!  Forrest (9 years old) lost her original home, so coming to rescue was a big adjustment for her. A huge thank you to her foster parents Noel and Brad for showing Forrest the way to her true forever home with the Nielsen family.  Congrats everyone, especially Forrest!

Ariel

Ariel decided on her forever home, and THEY SAID YES!  She is with her family now, happy, and her foster dad Marty said, “a few tears were shed.”  We are forever thankful to Marty and Carol for always being willing to jump in to foster!

Congrats to Ariel, Glenn, Scott and Grace!

Boone

8/24/2023

Boone (TN) has found his forever home, right where he is, with his foster family!  And we can't say we are surprised.  It seemed like a perfect match from day one.  His new dad, Mike, says, "Boone has been a great big brother for Hondo!  From the very first moment they met, they have loved each other!  I knew Boone would never leave us because when Hondo would take a nap in the kennel, Boone would go in and check on him.  Boone not only tolerated Hondo's puppy behavior, but he loves playing with him!"

It does sound like a great fit and we are so happy for the Smith Family, including Hondo, and for Boone (here showing Hondo how to hunt in the backyard).  Congratulations to you all!

Boone

Boone (NC) has made it official… From his forever parents Madison and Luke, “Boone has stolen our hearts and completed our family! He’s the sweetest boy who loves bear hugs and loves to explore! Boone is the happiest being with his family and he’s the biggest cuddle bug. Recently, Boone’s been loving running with his mom and playing tug-o-war with his dad — and we sure can’t wait for the many hiking adventures ahead! We didn’t think our hearts could be any fuller until we met our Boonie boy. The biggest thank you to his foster mom, Kathy, and to the SEGSP Rescue for taking this boy in and giving him all the love he deserves. We are forever grateful for you all!”
Congrats Boone, Madison and Luke!  It’s a great way to start the week :)

Another foster fail (aka, a foster SUCCESS) with Colby staying with his foster parents Amanda and Frank.  Amanda said, “Well… it’s official, we are foster fails.   Here’s a photo of when we told him (with our extended family).   He’s awesome and we just can’t imagine him with anyone else.   (PS, I secretly want a baseball team of GSPs!).”

HAHAHA that would be fun to watch!  Congrats to Colby and his new family!

Lucy

Lucy had a TON of wonderful families interested in adopting her, but in the end, her foster mom Beth just couldn’t say goodbye, so Lucy is staying. And she celebrated with some fun dock diving!

Beth said, “I received a lot of wonderful adoption applications for Lucy. While I have been reviewing applications and emails and trying to make the best decision for Lucy, I've listed all the things that I wanted for her to have in her forever family. As it got closer to the time for me to make a decision, I realized that everything I wanted for Lucy, she already had with our family. I found that Lucy has become too much a part of our family and we can't let her go.”  Beth and Lucy (whose new name will be "Kick", short for Sidekick)

Congratulations Kick and the Harless family!
