 Lila has made it to her forever home with the Cunninghams! Here she is getting a hug from her dad, Rob, and playing chase with her new siblings. We think she’s enjoying herself, don’t you think!?
Her dad says, “Lila has the most unique personality. She’s just full of joy and creates more drama that keeps Luke, Nikki and Tommy on their toes at all times. She brings a level of agility unlike any gsp we've seen. We're incredibly thankful she found herself in our home.” And we are thankful for amazing fosters, like Lila’s foster family, the Slarves and awesome new families for our pups like the Cunninghams! Congratulations, Lila!  Grant has found his forever home! Not only does he have parents that adore him, but he doesn’t have any other animals around to share their attention – it’s ALL about Grant!
Thank you to Grant’s foster dad Matt for fostering Grant and going through a lot of applications to find a forever home that was the best fit for him. Congratulations to Grant and the Sippel family Tokie is now officially Tor at his foster, now FOREVER home! His dad said has more toys than he’ll ever know what to do with LOL and of course, he is very loved. Congrats to Tor and his new family – it’s a very happy day!  Dave is adopted! Dave’s new name is Teddy and he couldn’t be happier! His foster mom Barb said, “Teddy's new parents just picked him up. My heart is breaking but so happy for them and Teddy. Thank you all for all the work you do and putting up with this newbie foster Mom. They plan on continuing to call him Teddy.” We are so very grateful that his foster mom Barb became a foster volunteer and did such an awesome job with Teddy – thank you Barb! And congratulations to the Rosborough family, including Teddy!   Tank, now officially “Hank the Tank” is staying right where he is with his foster-now forever family (YAY)! He has lots of kisses for his mom too! He has a human and GSP sister Emmi with him all day long and will be loved 24/7.
Congratulations to Hank (the Tank) and the Estep family - it’s a happy day!  Rodeo has made up his mind…he’s home, right there with his foster family and they agree 100 percent! And his three GSP and lab siblings are very happy, too! His new dad, Kenneth, says Rodeo is very happy in his new home and that he’s super smart, learning quickly. He thinks he will hunt with him this coming year. When it’s a fit, it’s a fit, and Rodeo fits in with the pack so nicely. Thank you so much for fostering, and for adopting, Rodeo. We couldn’t be happier! Congrats to Rodeo and the Pierpaolis family!
 Holly has made it to her forever family with the Mauks! We couldn’t be more grateful for Kara, Holly’s foster mom, for fostering her for a long time through her heartworm treatment and for lovingly choosing an amazing forever home for her. Her new mom says, “We feel so lucky to have found Holly! When we started looking, we knew we wanted to adopt an older dog. When we saw Holly, we were drawn to her beautiful jet-black face, and also to her story. We were initially anxious about bringing her into our home with our very active three-year-old GSP with little experience with other dogs. Holly has been home for about 24 hours, and our GSP is doing well with the suggestions provided by SEGSP. Holly is affectionate and sweet, and we already love her! Thanks to all with SEGSP who have loved and cared for her!”
Thank you to the Mauks and again, to Kara. Heartworm treatment takes a lot of patience and it’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Congrats to everyone!  Odin (in back) has found his forever home – FINALLY! His journey was a long and winding road told by his foster-now forever mom Kathy:
Odin was in a shelter in NC after being found as a stray. A good Samaritan had been feeding him for weeks and was finally able to get him to the shelter. I was able to pull him the day his stray hold was up, and temp fostered him. At the time, I had to come up with a name for him and Odin came to mind. Little did we know, he is much more of an Odie than Odin . We fell in love with Odin right from the start but at that time there were other dogs with pressing needs, and we had our hands full. Odin was evaluated by Kanupp Kennels as a service dog, but I was glad when he failed every test, first try! They said he was a sweet dog but didn’t have the calm stability needed to be a service dog, so back home with me he came. Once again, we were inundated with foster dogs, and it was time for Odin to go up for adoption. He had met a family while at Kanupp Kennels and they adopted him. When that did not work out, we knew Odin needed to come back with us!! Permanently! He has been part of this pack for quite some time now and adds just the right amount of fun and silliness. He has the cutest little wiggle and the sweetest little face when he sits down in front of you and looks back with loving eyes!! He found his place easily with Sadie and Lincoln (SEGSP Alum) and can often be found sharing a bed with Sadie. He will sit on the edge of her big bed and wait and when she doesn’t object, he crawls in behind her and snuggles up. Odin is in the back of this photo, Lincoln front right and Sadie on the left. Thank you, Kathy, for all the love and attention you give all your foster dogs (and you’ve had many). Congrats on your adoption of Odin!  Puptunia is now officially Daisy! She found her forever home in GA and has two human sisters and two human brothers that adore her.
Daisy came to rescue from a shelter in Alabama who contacted SEGSP with a “terrified” GSP. Her family moved and left her at the shelter so we can only imagine how frightened and confused she was. However, our wonderful volunteer, Jackson, agreed to foster her and he showed her how awesome life can be and found the perfect home for her. Thank you, Jackson! Congrats to Daisy and the Parker family (she sure looks loved)! |
