Happy Sunday Alum Day!
We have great news. We are welcoming Greyson to the alumni club bc his foster parents are keeping him forever! We happily announce that Greyson will be staying right where he is at with the Glielmi family. Greyson came into rescue extremely traumatized from his past. It took nearly a month for a Good Samaritan to gain his trust to even capture him, get him vetted and bring him into rescue. Thank you, Kelly. We would also like to thank Jackie for fostering sweet Greyson also. The Glielmi family know that trauma will always be a part of Greyson’s life, but they chose to love him and make him a part of their family anyways. Thank you, Kathy and Bob. Sweet Bo Duke has some lip smacking good news!!!! Bo has found his forever home with his new mom Bonnie. We searched and searched for the perfect home for Bo where he could live life as the one and only spoiled boy with a momma to love on him and boy did he hit the jackpot!! He not only got a momma but he got a grandma that’s gonna be home with him all day to spoil him rotten and we all know that no one spoils better than grammas do!
Foster mom Vicki added, “He is also getting a sibling that is a paint horse that looks just like him, I’m waiting with bated breath to see a picture of them two together. Bo Duke has by far been my easiest foster to date, he trained within two days, he was perfect in the house even when left by himself, he wasn’t hyper, he was obsessed with anything other than humans and he was also perfectly happy in a kennel taking a nap. He barked to tell you he had to go out and barked to come back in. He didn’t chew toys and was not a picky eater and had zero anxiety. WAIT why exactly did I not keep this perfect baby!!! I know why, because it’s my job to find homes for these babies so that other humans can experience the joy and love that I get everyday coming home to my GSP’s, everyone deserves to feel the immense love that this breed had to give and it would be rude for me not to share the love in a world that can use all the GSP sass these pups have to offer. Bo Duke I will miss you every single day but I’m so happy that we found a home where you can be top dog and soak up ever ounce of love your new mom has to give!” Congratulations Bo Duke! We end our day welcoming the Livingston family to the club…that is the foster failure club! YAY!
Riley was dumped at a shelter when she was of no further use to the hunting club. But that old life is behind her now. She is healthy and happy, and of course loved. Thank you to the Livingston family on fostering Riley and making her a member of your family. Good Morning… Love is in the air, and we have some exciting news to share!
Sally will be staying right where she is as a foster failure with the Parson family (aka Parson Posse). Sally’s mom fell in love with her instantly and we can’t say we blame her. Sally will also have five canine companions to be by her side. From oldest to youngest Sally, Lucas (SEGSP alum), Lottie, Haines, Josie and Pearl. We can’t thank the Parson family enough for not only fostering sweet Sally during her rescue journey but loving her FOREVER. It’s a very happy day in rescue! Sweet Raven has chosen her forever family and she made her way home today. Her foster family, the Blanscetts, are already missing her, but are so happy that she’s found the perfect spot for her.
From her new mom and dad, Gary: “We are so excited to welcome the newest addition to our Family, RAVEN!! I’m sure everyone in this group will understand when I say there’s just something about a GSP….They are so unique and just so very special. We rescued our first GSP a few years ago and lost her last year to cancer. She absolutely stole our hearts, and we knew we were only getting started with this breed. I started following SEGSP years ago and had a feeling we would find our next match here. I’ve been looking on the website just about every day for 6 months, each time I’d see a dog and think ‘maybe?… is this the right fit?’ For some reason, I felt a little hesitant to pull the trigger, and then I saw Raven! I pulled over on the highway and sent the email right then and there! We knew we were looking for a 5-7 year old female and we love the ticked/patched look on a GSP. We were also looking for a dog that wanted companionship as we have 2 other fur babies in the house. I fell in love with the playful nature described in her bio and had a feeling she was exactly what we’ve been waiting for! She did so well on the ride home! We bribed her with treats of course and after a little while she laid down and started snoring like she’s been with us for forever.🥰 Introductions with her new siblings went great, and after a quick sniffing session, we played ball in the backyard until everyone about dropped! Next step is to see if we’ve got a water lover on our hands! Finger crossed she digs it bc we’ve got a kayak waiting on her to ride shotgun! “🤞🏽 Raven, it sounds like you are right where you belong. We couldn’t be happier for you and your family. And we are super grateful to your foster family for loving you and helping make this possible. After perusing through some really awesome applications, Chester has chosen the Boud family as his family! He went home earlier this week and is settling in & getting used to new surroundings.
He has a brother, Cash, a retriever, and a cousin, a GSP, Cooper, that will be over to play often. His mom said she’d been following his story from the first time he was posted. We are super grateful for his foster family, the Duncos, for taking such great care of him and for helping with the tough decision of his forever family. Congrats to the Boyds and to Chester! Domino has conquered his mistrust in humans and has decided that the ones he has right now, his foster family, are the ones he wants FOREVER! His foster, now forever, brother Duck was a huge part of Domino’s adjustment to normal dog life (thank you Duck) but his foster, now forever, parents Anne and Todd worked their magic touch with lots of love and attention. Thank you and congratulations!
We have some very exciting news! Emmie one of the 8 puppies was adopted today by the Moss Family.
From Sheila, “What a precious gift we just got!!!! We’ll treasure her for years to come.” Congratulations to the Moss family and for Laura and her family for fostering sweet Emmie and finding her forever home. There’s something in the water – we’re sure of it. Cami (GA) and her foster family have become the next members of the Foster Fail club – and we’re thrilled!
From her mom Elissa, “Thanks again for bringing this sweet girl into our lives. Our hearts are full, and we feel so lucky to have been chosen to be her foster parents and now forever parents. “ Congrats to Cami and the Haynes family! Joon Carter (FL) has found her forever home! From her foster mom Paige, “We are going to miss that sassy girl so much, but we know what an amazing life Sam & Trevor are going to give her- and her adorable new brother, Ranger! Joon and Ranger became fast friends from the moment they met, and we just instantly knew she was in the right home. Joon officially asked them to be her furever home on Valentine’s Day and got a very quick ‘YES!’ from the Jowell family. Saying goodbye wasn't easy but we know they will spoil little Joon with all the love and attention she deserves!” Congrats everyone! |
