Queenie

​Queenie has a couple of things to say.  She has found her forever family and while she still wants to be treated like a queen, she’s now going to go by Bailey.  Her foster family chose the perfect home for her with the Morrows.  And to say they are smitten is an understatement!  Her new mom said, “We renamed her “Bailey” and she is perfect!!! I’ve had a GSP named Shadow who we also rescued and he lived to be 17! We wanted another after the recent loss of our other dog and because our 99 lb black lab Luke was profoundly lonely. After watching Queenie/Bailey’s video on Facebook of her headbutting like a goat, I knew she was the one! We had applied for others, but secretly hoped we could have her; liver-colored, curious, even temperament, and using her head for attention, she was the perfect combination of personality with buckets of love  

 We love her Velcro nature and she transitioned beautifully - despite a 10-hour drive back home. She is a great traveler, super smart, and although she’s had some upheavals, she’s one of the most alert, loving, and affectionate dogs. Clearly her foster mom, Ellen was instrumental in giving her the safety and security she needed in order to make her transition/adoption go so smoothly. The one thing we are working through is her “schedule” … she is an alarm clock, promptly waking at 6:50am EST every morning! No sleeping in with this girl!”
